Support at Home is a government-funded program designed to help older Australians remain living safely and independently in their own home.

Support at Home provides funding for a wide range of services to support your daily living, health, and overall wellbeing.

The program is designed to be more flexible and personalised, ensuring you receive the right level of care based on your individual needs and circumstances.

Your care plan is tailored to you and may include:

• Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, household tasks)
• Meal preparation and nutrition support
• Transport to appointments and community activities
• Nursing and clinical care
• Allied health services, including physiotherapy, dietetics, and podiatry
• Equipment and home modifications

Support at Home uses a classification system to match you with the right level of care and funding.

There are 8 levels of support, ranging from lower-level assistance through to more complex, high-level care needs. As your needs change, your level of support can be adjusted to ensure you continue receiving the right care at the right time.

2. Complete an assessment to determine your needs
3. Receive approval and a support classification
4. Choose your provider
5. Begin receiving services
